    FAQ

How long can I stay on a tourist VIVIS?
Up to 90 days from entry. The stay may be extended for up to the same period granted on entry, but extensions are not automatic and must be requested from the Federal Police before the first period ends.

Can I work remotely from Brazil on this visa?
No. VIVIS prohibits immigration intent and the exercise of paid activity in Brazil. Brazil's official lists used here include a separate VITEM XIV digital-nomad route for qualifying remote workers.

Can I get this visa inside Brazil?
No. Brazilian visas are never granted in national territory, airports, ports, or border posts (diplomatic, official, and courtesy visas excepted). Apply at a Brazilian consular post abroad.
