FAQ

Is everyone eligible for the e-Visa?
No. The official e-Visa page restricts eligibility by nationality and country of residence. Check the eligibility checker before applying; ineligible travelers must use a consulate.

Can I enter Afghanistan by land with an e-Visa?
No. The tourist e-Visa is valid only for entry through Kabul International Airport.

How long can I stay?
Up to 30 days from the date of entry; the e-Visa expires 90 days from the date of issue.

Can the tourist visa be extended?
The consular tourist visa can be extended once by the Ministry of Interior with the consent of the Afghan Tourism Department; e-Visa extensions are not described in the official guidance.
