    FAQ

    How long can I stay?
Type C allows up to 90 days in any 180-day period in Luxembourg and the rest of the Schengen area. Use the Schengen calculator to track authorised days.

    Does the visa guarantee entry?
No. Issuance alone does not confer entry or stay; border and stay conditions (valid travel document, purpose, means, insurance, SIS/security checks) are verified on entry and stay.

Can I extend a tourist visa inside Luxembourg?
Only exceptionally for serious personal reasons, force majeure or humanitarian grounds before expiry and within the 90/180 rule, via the Passport, Visa and Legalisation Office. Beyond 90 days contact the General Department of Immigration.
