    FAQ

Do I need this visa if my country is visa-free?
No. EO 408 nationalities enter visa-free (generally 30 days) and extend with BI if eligible. Apply for the 9(a) visa only if you are visa-required or will exceed the visa-free stay and need an entry visa.

Can I convert or extend an eVisa inside the Philippines?
No. The DFA policy states issued eVisas are not valid for conversion to other visa types and are not valid for extension of stay. Apply for the correct regular visa if you intend a longer or convertible stay.

How long can I stay as a tourist?
Initial admission depends on visa-free or visa terms (commonly 30 or 59 days). BI extensions are possible monthly or every 2 months up to 24 months for visa-required and 36 months for non-visa-required nationals from latest arrival.
