How long does a visitor visa take to process?
At the Tonga Embassy in Beijing, allow about 5 working days after submitting a complete application.

Can I work or study on a visitor visa?
No. Employment, business and study are prohibited on a visitor visa, and holders must keep the visa valid at all times; breaches may lead to prosecution under the Immigration Act.

Who needs to apply before travelling to Tonga?
Nationals of countries not on Tonga's visa-waiver list must obtain an entry permit before travel; nationals of waiver countries receive a 30-day visitor visa on arrival.
