    FAQ

How long can I stay on this visa?
Up to 90 days in any 180-day period across the Schengen area. Overstay or misuse can lead to multi-year penalties.

Do I need a host in Denmark?
Pure tourism without a host is possible as a starting point for low-risk (main group 1) nationalities, but applicants from higher-risk groups normally need a Danish host, and group 5 nationalities are only granted visas in extenuating circumstances such as terminal illness or a funeral.

Can I work in Denmark on this visa?
No. It does not authorize any work; if your activity requires a work permit (for example paid traineeship), apply for a work-based permit instead.
