    Documents

    • Completed and signed visa application form
    • Valid travel document (passport) valid at least 3 months beyond the planned departure, issued within the last 10 years, with at least two blank pages
    • Recent passport photo (35 x 45 mm, portrait format)
    • Travel medical insurance covering the whole Schengen area with at least EUR 30,000 for the planned stay
    • Proof of sufficient means of subsistence for the stay and return journey
    • Purpose evidence as requested by the consulate: hotel reservations, invitation or declaration of commitment, booking confirmations, return ticket
    • Proof of gainful employment or other ties to the country of residence where requested
    • Additional documents requested by the competent representation

    A Type C visa allows a total stay of up to 90 days within any 180-day period in the Schengen area.

    Can I work on this visa?
    No. It does not authorize paid or self-employed work in Austria.
