    FAQ

Who does not need this visa?
Travelers whose nationality is visa-exempt in the Foreign Ministry’s ordinary-passport list. Even an exempt business visitor needs a business visa to sign a contract in Peru.

Can I extend a tourist stay?
The generic tourist page describes up to 183 days without extension while also advising extension requests be filed before expiry. Treat the condition attached to your visa/admission as controlling and confirm it with the consulate or Migraciones.

Can I work remotely from Peru on this visa?
Peru’s official visa/quality lists used here do not include a remote-worker or digital-nomad category. Do not use a tourist visa for Peru-based paid work.
