    FAQ

How long can I stay on a tourist visa?
30 days on arrival, with up to two additional 30-day extensions. Apply for each extension at least 7 days before the current visa expires.

Can I work or do business on a tourist visa?
No. It strictly prohibits commercial, employment or business activity. To work you need a labor permit from the Bureau of Immigration and Foreign Labor and the matching work visa; the Director may revoke the visa for breach.

Who cannot just show up and get it on arrival?
Nationals of Bangladesh and Myanmar must apply before reaching Palau through a Palau mission or representative authority/Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and travelers from the 12 EO-499 flagged countries (including Bangladesh, Myanmar, Cambodia, Cameroon, Ghana, Haiti, Iran, Nigeria, North Korea, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Sri Lanka and Vanuatu) must hold written pre-clearance approval before boarding.

    What about visa waivers?
FSM/RMI/USA nationals need no visa at all; the Schengen-area waiver allows up to 90 days in any 180-day period, Russia 30 days, and Taiwan reciprocal visa-free entry applies with its own conditions. Check with the Ministry of State for the current waiver list before relying on it.
